As you can see this is the web site of Mal Blackshaw who is a web developer, and currently resides in North Lincolnshire UK.
I've been building full life cycle web applications over 10 years now mainly with PHP & MySQL, CSS and XHTML, over the past year or so using Ajax to create Web 2.0 Rich Internet Applications (RIA) using a variety of Ajax Frameworks from Mootools to Spry.
Designing and developing majority of the sites using such software as Adobe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash (Not a flash expert). Creating everything from simple sites to full blown secure multi level content management and ecommerce sites all search engine friendly of course which are cross browser, accessibility compliant to WC3 standards.
I like to keep up with the Jones as far as web development goes and for the past few months with the progression of PHP and MYSQL the majority of the sites I now develop are built in the MVC architectural pattern, Model-View-Controller and I'm now working to build this site all using Zend Framework. Progression is a little slow as I'm taking a lot on board but it's getting there. At the same time I'm hand coding a template based ecommerce system in the same way in PHP5, MYSQL, CSS and Ajax. With heavy use Stored Procedures so that's keeping me busy.
